Lotus, Lotus Palm and Lotus Edge: Homes for Sale in Boca Raton

Lotus was the first master-planned community in Boca Raton built entirely around contemporary architecture: flat rooflines, clean lines and walls of glass. GL Homes followed it with Lotus Palm and Lotus Edge. All three are guard-gated, all-ages communities in West Boca Raton with large resort clubhouses and no club membership. Each has its own location, size and clubhouse, so the right choice depends on what matters most to you.

The three Lotus communities at a glance

Lotus: the original

GL Homes began selling Lotus in January 2019, and it changed what buyers expected from a West Boca community. It has a single guarded entrance on Lyons Road, just north of Clint Moore Road. Its 12 contemporary floor plans range from two-bedroom homes to five-bedroom estates with lofts. The clubhouse has clay tennis courts with a pro shop, pickleball, a resort pool with cabanas, a spa, basketball, an indoor sports court, a fitness center, a yoga lawn, a lounge with bar, a game room, a kids’ playroom and a playground.

Best for: buyers who want an established Lotus address with mature landscaping, and quick access to Boca Bridges, Clint Moore Road and Lyons Road shopping.

Lotus Palm: the second Lotus

Lotus Palm sits farther south, near Glades Road and west of the Turnpike, which puts it closer to Boca Raton’s main shopping corridor and an easier drive east. Its 525 homes come in two collections, Fiji and Bali, from about 2,573 square feet to more than 5,400. The clubhouse includes dining, card rooms, a kids’ room, a fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, a resort pool and spa, a yoga lawn and a covered playground.

Best for: buyers who want the Lotus style with a more central location for commuting and errands.

Lotus Edge: the newest

Lotus Edge is the third and newest Lotus community, near Glades Road and the Turnpike. Its 39,000-square-foot clubhouse is the largest of the three, with a full-service restaurant, a lounge with bar, a cold plunge, an indoor sports court, a fitness center, resort pools, a lap pool, a splash zone, a yoga lawn and a racquet club with pro shop. Homes come in the Fiji and Bali collections, from about 2,573 square feet to more than 5,450.

Best for: buyers who want the newest construction and the biggest amenity package, and are willing to wait for a new build or pay a premium for a resale.
